Widely considered as the most aesthetically pleasing sports car ever made, the Jaguar SS100 is also very very rare. Only 198 Jaguar SS100 2. 5 litres were ever manufactured and while most stayed in the UK, just 50 cars were exported. These cars could do a 100mph per hour in the 1930’s, hence the iconic 100 in the name. This particular car has undergone a thorough and extensive restoration over a lengthy period of 4 years to superb and exacting standards. The work was carried out by the world renowned South African Jaguar aficionado, Mr Wally Vorlaufer. Well known in the JagSS100 circles as the chairman, SS100 restorer and his company has for over 50yrs reproduced over 2000 parts unique to the SS100’s. These parts have been shipped all the world to owners for original SS100 replacement parts. During the R3. 5-million-rand restoration of this car, a 1936 Jaguar SS sedan was procured at great cost, along with its heritage certificate to prove.
