Made between 1936 and 1939, the Phantom III is known as the last pre-war Rolls Royce model with only 727 being produced.
Mounted behind that unmistakable radiator was something entirely new, unique and exotic to the Phantom III, an all aluminium V12 engine, in fact this was the first and only Rolls Royce to be powered by 12 cylinders until the introduction of the the Silver Seraph in 1998.
This magnificent Phantom III once formed part of the late Rolls Royce aficionado Sir James Cayzer collection. A well-known car to P&A Woods who have just recently carried a major overhaul, the V12 now running beautifully. A truly magnificent Phantom comes with a most interesting owners’ history file.
Originally commissioned by the fascinating Mr. Olaf Hambro of Linton Park, Kent, Chairman of the family bank and owner of Wilton restaurant in St. James, this Phantom III is one of only 96 Rolls Royce Phantom IIIs to be coachbuilt by HJ Mulliner. She was delivered to the Linton Park estate on 4 June 1938. Other prominent families who have owned this Phantom include the Birds Custard family and the Cayzer shipping family. "
