This is an interesting SE version of the vehicle featuring a Type C cylinder head that ensures a 210 hp engine. It left the factory in March 1955 and was sold new in the UK sporting a Birch Grey paint job and red leather upholstery. Its history can be traced back to 1967, and it appears that the car was discontinued in the late 1970s. The father of the current owners, an avid Jaguar enthusiast and collector, purchased the vehicle in 1994. The original colours had been replaced by British racing green and a cream leather interior. The engine is a different 3. 4-litre block to the original, adorned with a gold-coloured straight-port cylinder head fitted with 3 SU carburettors and offering more power than the original. The bodywork bears the marks of time and can either be restored or kept in its current endearing state. The mechanics work well and have been fine-tuned, but as the car has been driven very little in recent years, it will need a full servicing, as well as electrical system and running gear checks. The exhaust system is made of stainless steel and the Michelin tyres, which were fitted in 2017, have seldom been used. The interior patina brings charm, although the headlining needs restoring. The dashboard features a radio. We fell in love with the idea of this beautifully British Jaguar as an exciting project to undertake.
Auction estimate: €30 000 / €40 000 - Without reserve price
