We are very pleased to offer a very rare and very eighties 1986 Austin Mini Ritz. Finished in metallic Silver leaf with, unique to this model alloy wheels, satin black grille and Ritz decals. This is only the second time I have ever worked on a prepared a Ritz, this is how rare they are which will give its new owner a certain amount of cache as the chances are you will never see another. Only 2000 were produced for the UK with just 32 left on the road today, one of the rarest Minis.... This example has all of its original features. It has only covered 65k in 37 years and is accompanied with every MOT certificate to support the very low mileage. It also has a cherished number plate that stays with the Mini.
On the road the Ritz is fantastic to drive and I have been using this Mini myself as it is so much fun. The original 998 engine is very smooth and thanks to a stage one kit is also very responsive with progressive power right through the rev range, it will certainly surprise you just how well it goes. A side exit stainless exhaust also give it a subtle burble. The gearbox is very precise and thanks to four brand new tyres the handling is sharp. This model also benefits from disc brakes and electronic ignition. This Ritz is a drivers machine and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
The interior is very well presented and features those fantastic seats that are, Claret Red, Prussian Blue and Osprey Grey velvet with "Ritz" logos on the seats, matching door cards, funky navy blue top and bottom dash rails with a matching steering wheel with a "Ritz" logo. It also benefits from rear seat belts and has a period Radio Cassette player.
This Ritz is very well presented in fits into many categories, it is ready to be driven and used daily and can also be your pride and joy show car. It is an unrestored example and wears its near 40 year vintage well. The shell is very solid with vented sills and body coloured floor pans. The subframes are also solid. The paintwork is very well presented with only minor imperfections which do not detract from this fantastic Mini.
The Mini has been fully serviced with many new parts, checked and driven and has a long no advisory MOT so it is ready to go and be driven and enjoyed.
