Description
Genuine Ford Capri RS3100 which is one of only 250 made. This car was one of the 50 exported to Australia from new and it was brought back to the UK in 2018. The car has been authenticated by two different Capri owners club. It only shows one UK owner on the V5 which states Capri RS3100. It must be one of very few unrestored cars left. The Australian owner is said to have had it over 40 years.
Body - Genuine RS3100 which has been verified. In the main it all looks original and unrestored underneath and theres no signs of any welding on the floors. Good original inner wings, sills, arches, inner sills, pillars, doors boot and bonnet and wings.. Its really a very solid car having had an easy life down in Australia for most of its days. It has the Australian spec decals on the front and rear spoiler and the Australian spec wing mirrors. Paintwork is showing its age and there are a few bits that would need attended to... or do you just leave it original? Looks like its had a minor repair on osr quarter in the past as paint is cracking a little
Mechanics - Starts and runs no problem and pulls well. Gearbox clutch and brakes feel fine on test drive. Not sure when it was last serviced. Everything looks standard and in good order underneath. Its not shiny show quality but all looks correct and very original. As its not really been used since it came across the water it will need a checkover and light recommission
Interior - Original interior. Both front seats need recovered but there area new set of covers with the car. Good door cards, headlining and carpet.
Wheels - Correct RS3100 alloys which will need a refurb.
