The term 'ultimate specification' barely does justice to this uniquely customised Land Rover Defender, which boast a veritable plethora of delectable upgrades, all carried out by a Land Rover specialist. Painted in striking Aintree Green Pearlescent, this Defender has covered circa 78, 500 miles and has had one previous owner.
One of its most obvious upgrades is the 17" deep-dish modular steel wheels, shod with 35" BFG all-terrain tyres and shrouded by wider wheelarches. Also present are custom-made tree sliders and a raised air intake with a snow cowl, further enhancing the Defender's off-road capabilities. Heavy-duty rear drive flanges and rebuilt brakes and hubs ensure reliability under pressure.
The Defender is equipped with a full canvas soft-top, while inside the cabin we find reupholstered quilted leather heated seats, complemented by new safety belts and leather dash trim. As one would expect with vehicle of this class, there are electric windows and USB/ USB-C charging ports.
Its many custom touches set this Defender apart: a hardwood deck, fitted with cargo rails, provides a sturdy foundation for carrying gear, while also serving as a platform for alfresco dining. Mood lighting is subtly integrated into the wooden floor.
There are further upgrades beneath the skin: a 2" lift courtesy of Old Man Emu suspension, with poly bushes all around, provides extra ground clearance for off-roading, while heavy-duty steering bars, an adjustable Panhard rod, and a new steering rack ensure precise handling even in the most demanding terrain. The 2. 2-litre turbo-diesel engine benefits from a mid-box silencer delete, unleashing extra horsepower and delivering a throaty exhaust note. The engine further benefits from a new clutch, flywheel resurfacing, and replacement of master and slave cylinders, while a slick-shift has been fitted to tighten the gear stick wobble.
A Terrafirma winch mounted to the front bumper, accompanied by auxiliary kill switches and a C-tek trickle charger, ensures readiness for any recovery situation or extended storage period. There is also a full array of lighting options, including a 50" DLX 50c light-bar above the windscreen; Strolux 32" light-bar in front of the bonnet; and floodlights below the front bumper.
The vehicle comes with a V5C document and comprehensive service history: there are numerous receipts and 11 stamps in the service booklet, the last dated 2nd June 2024 at 78, 579 miles, while the last MoT certificate was issued on 1st May 2024 at 78, 568 miles. This quite outstanding Defender is ready to accompany the fortunate next owner on the journey of a lifetime, whether it be tackling rugged trails or cruising the highway.
