1971 Triumph Spitfire MkIV 1300 with overdrive in Midnight blue.
This is a very good example of Triumph's venerable little sports car, full professional body off restoration in the early noughties.
There is a big history file detailing great expenditure during the restoration, including full engine rebuild, stainless steel sports exhaust, free flow manifold, warmer cam, polybushed suspension, Minilite alloys, all new interior trim- the list goes on, effectively a better than new car!
The car was used sparingly until 2023 when it was pressed into daily use by a new owner, during that time it had the gearbox and overdrive reconditioned and a new clutch fitted along with many smaller jobs to make it reliable.
The general condition of the car is very good although after 20 odd years there are one or two blemishes on the paint work, the underside of the body is also blue paint, showing the quality of the restoration, the structure of the body and chassis is still excellent.
The bumpers were recently replaced with the excellent stainless steel ones from Rimmer Bros, a boot carpet kit fitted and gas struts fitted to make opening the bonnet easier.
The car runs and drives very well and is great fun to whizz about in, but also having been used daily for a while has proven its reliability.
Although tax and mot exempt, the car will be sold serviced and with a new mot included in the price.
