PORSCHE 993 CARRERA RS 3. 8 300hp – 1996 Unveiled at the Amsterdam Motor Show in February 1995, the 993 Carrera RS 3. 8 represents one of the most radical and competition-focused interpretations of the 993 generation. Lighter, faster, and more aggressive in styling than its siblings, this “Lightweight” version tips the scales at just 1, 280 kg, delivering a raw and purist driving experience.
Its design is both striking and functional, featuring front flaps, a fixed lightweight rear spoiler, and 18" three-piece Speedline wheels. The revised front bodywork, combined with the rear wing and lowered ride height, not only gives the RS its distinctive aggressive look but also reduces aerodynamic lift to nearly zero.
Under the rear decklid lies the legendary naturally aspirated 3. 8L flat-six engine, equipped with forged pistons, producing 300 hp, paired with the G50/ 31 6-speed manual gearbox.
