Model significance
The Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint II Series marks the final and most refined evolution of the celebrated 1900 range.
In 1955, Carrozzeria Touring developed two prototypes named SS Tipo 55 (“Geneva”), which were never approved for production due to cost and design considerations. Touring’s chief designer Federico Formenti then created a more traditional yet elegant version, perfectly aligned with Alfa Romeo’s style philosophy.
Produced only between 1956 and 1957 in very limited numbers (around 300 units), this model became affectionately nicknamed “Giuliettona” due to its resemblance to the Giulietta.
Today, it stands as one of the most desirable and collectible 1950s Alfa Romeos, combining technical sophistication, aesthetic harmony, and artisanal craftsmanship.
