Sales information
On December 21, 1937, this stately Jaguar SS 2. 5 Litre Saloon left the factory to be shipped to Belgium. The car was registered there on July 14, 1938. Numerous documents and the Heritage Certificate indicate that the original color was Suede Green. A somewhat dull color, it was thankfully changed to the equally original Ivory during the restoration. Combined with the beautiful green leather and tasteful wood-trimmed interior, it's a true feast for the eyes.
The beautiful saloon remained in Belgium until its current owner purchased it in 2015. Once in the Netherlands, a comprehensive restoration began, leaving nothing to chance. A thick folder of photos and invoices shows that the specialists at Conventry in Uden invested countless hours to restore the SS Jaguar to its pristine condition. And perhaps even better than it ever was. The result is truly impressive. The photos we took don't do the car justice, as the perfect finish is practically impossible to capture. You simply have to see and experience it for yourself, standing next to the car, sinking into the luxurious seats, and enjoying a wonderful drive. The car is now part of one of the largest SS and Jaguar collections in the Netherlands, but is now being sold due to downsizing.
Driving it is actually very easy and feels a bit like pre-war luxury. A real pleasure, if you ask us. But then again, we're biased, of course, because we know how much fun a classic car like this can bring. And not just for the driver, of course, because as a passenger, you actually have it even better in terms of luxury and space to stretch your legs. A fantastic car for traveling to England in style, for example, to visit the famous Goodwood Revival. An unforgettable experience that can become a reality if you schedule an appointment with us.
