Chassis 15433 was supplied on 21st January 1986 via Aston Martin (Sales) Ltd of 33 Sloane Street and finished in Telford Gold with a contrasting Magnolia hides piped in dark red. One of the last of the carburettor V8 Volante models constructed prior to the introduction of the V585 EFi model replacement, this car was originally assigned with the first owners cherished registration ‘2 MMY’
Retained by the original owner until December 1993 who entrusted its maintenance to Aston Martin Works Service in Newport Pagnell and Aston Martin exponents R. S Williams of Surrey
From 1993 through 2005 the second owner continued a very thorough and well documented maintenance schedule, continuing with R. S Williams and AM main agents H. W. M of Walton on Thames, during this period it wore the cherished registration ‘152 KHB’
In 2005 it was purchased by a UK based record producer who kept the car for the following fifteen years until 2021. During his ownership the Volante benefitted from substantial restoration and upgrades and the history file shows attention from a variety of highly regarded specialists including RSW, Trinity Aston Martin, Newlands Motors, Alan Smith and Oselli
Over the Winter of 2020 it was professionally repainted in period correct Cumberland Grey by Moto Marque Ltd of Chertsey and completed in April 2021. We enjoyed watching this process as the firm were also repainting a Volante of ours alongside this car, both of which were finished to an extremely high standard
Further improvements and cosmetic upgrades included the fitment of an original Nardi steering wheel and significant bespoke HiFi upgrades by Becker, Genesis, Morell, Bazooka 1 Kwatt 9 speaker stereo system. Further improvements included a new Black mohair hood, updated front anti-roll bar, polished stainless steel bumpers and Vantage straight through tail pipes.
In 2021 it passed into the hands of a well-known London based Aston Martin collector who added the desirable big brake upgrade and enjoyed the car for three years before purchasing a Vantage Zagato from us, at which point we supplied the car to the current owner who has continued to enjoy and maintain the car to a very high standard
With just 42, 000 miles from new, this late production carburettor model is offered in exceptional condition with comprehensive history, desirable upgrades and ready for immediate spring/ summer enjoyment!
