Exterior / Body:
The model shown here is a 993 Carrera from December 1994 in its original colour “Nachtblau Metallic L 39C” (matching color).
The bodywork is in excellent presentation condition and the paint depth and uniform gloss are evident.
This has been refurbished a few years ago and the body received a full new paint at that time.
After a professional polish by our workshop, we noted a few tiny dust specks under paint and minor paint chips corrected.
The bumpers are perfectly aligned and in excellent condition, with no signs of impact, cracks or breaks.
As always, the lower front bumper return shows scuff marks.
The tinted-degraded windshield “Grün” shows very light pits.
This example is equipped with a sought-after option: electric sunroof (option 650).
This operates perfectly and its seal remains as original.
The four 17” Cup wheels (option 398) are in very good condition despite some scuff marks on the rims.
The four PIRELLI P-Zero tyres show 15% wear at the front and rear (PORSCHE standards).
This example comes with its jack, compressor and space-saver spare wheel.
Among the noteworthy exterior/ body equipment, we noted:
The electric sunroof (650) and the four 17’’ Cup wheels (398).
Interior:
The interior retains its original strict configuration and is presented in very good condition.
The leather upholstery in “Grau” with electric and heated seats is in very good original condition despite a slight patina on the outer edge of the driver’s seat.
The faux leather door panels in “Grau” and their pockets are in excellent condition.
We noted a small snag on the driver’s pocket lid.
The dashboard and its cap in “Grau” are in very good condition, with no cracks, deformations or discolouration.
All on-board VDO instruments, the original clock and comfort equipment are fully functional, except for the era climate control.
The BLAUPUNKT radio with remote works perfectly.
The original 4-spoke leather steering wheel in “Schwarz” is in excellent condition.
The leather gear knob in “Schwarz” is also in good condition with a slight patina from use.
The faux leather headlining in “Grau” is taut and without snags.
The original carpets in “Grau” are in good original condition, with no wear marks or discolouration.
This example is equipped with PORSCHE over-mats in “Grau” in excellent condition.
Among the interesting interior equipment, we note:
Heated front seats with electric adjustment, on-board computer and JVC radio with remote.
Chassis:
The lifting on the ramp confirms a healthy body, with no visible accident damage or structural corrosion.
The basics: floor pans, longitudinals, spare wheel well, wheel arches and sills are in good condition.
The original flat-bottom fibre-glass undertray is in excellent condition. Only the timing cover is missing.
During the dynamic test, no abnormal noises were detected from the body or running gear (tie rods, bushings, etc.).
Usage reserve: as a rule we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond their visually and functionally validated state on road test and ramp.
Braking is balanced, stable and effective, with no vibrations or abnormal noises.
Front brake discs show 10% wear and rear 40%.
Front brake pads show 10% wear and rear 30%.
A roadworthy certificate obtained before delivery will confirm full functionality.
Engine / Transmission:
The original service book confirms regular maintenance at PORSCHE centres and by specialists.
The original mechanics (matching numbers / PORSCHE France certificate) operate perfectly.
This example benefited from an engine overhaul at 166, 850 km in 2015 (total invoices: €7, 889) including engine removal and reinstallation for replacing upper and lower engine seals, connecting rod bearings, shafts and exhaust line, piston rings, two timing chains, oil lines and head refurbishment.
Compression tests and road test by our workshop confirm a healthy engine.
The flat-six starts promptly and idle is stable, as confirmed by the 360° video with the engine running at the start of the slideshow.
Hot oil pressure measured by our workshop is 1. 5 bar at 1, 000 rpm.
In motion, once at temperature the flat-six revs normally, with no smoke or stumbles.
The manual gearbox engages the 6 gears without issue in the synchros.
Clutch grip is good.
This example is equipped with a battery cut-off switch.
As with many older engines, engine/ gearbox seals are only average.
Other similar vehicles are also available. 50 photos + in‑motion engine video on CLASSIC-A
