Description
Produced in 1956, the Lancia Aurelia B24S is widely considered one of the most elegant and sophisticated Italian automobiles of the 1950s. A symbol of Lancia's technical innovation, it occupies a prominent place in automotive history and remains one of the most admired classics by collectors worldwide.
The name “Aurelia” was inspired by the historic Via Aurelia, one of the most important roads in Ancient Rome, following Lancia's tradition of associating its models with significant references to Italian culture.
Under the hood lies the celebrated 2. 5-liter V6 engine, an evolution of the revolutionary engine developed by Vittorio Jano, recognized as the first mass-produced V6 engine in automotive history. Its smooth operation, flexibility, and refinement made it a technological benchmark for its time.
This particular example is equipped with the coveted Nardi Pack, which includes a Nardi intake manifold and two Weber 40 DCL5 carburetors, a highly appreciated period modification that improved engine performance and enhanced the model's sporty character.
Also included with the car are the coveted hard top and a set of Borrani spoked wheels, both not fitted to the vehicle but included with the car, constituting elements particularly valued by collectors and enthusiasts of the brand.
An exceptional piece of Italian automotive industry, combining elegance, mechanical innovation and historical significance, remaining to this day one of the most iconic Gran Turismo cars ever produced.
