Description

The renowned Swiss coachbuilder Hermann Graber displayed his first model on the 3-litre Alvis chassis at the 1953 Geneva Motor Show. When a successor to the TC21 became necessary, Alvis commissioned Graber's coachworks to build a prototype. This design was subsequently built as the TD21 by Park Ward. Alongside this, Graber continued to hand-build individual vehicles using TD21 chassis and mechanicals. Thus, in 1959, the offered Alvis TD21 Graber Special came into being. The car had long-term Swiss ownership and was meticulously maintained. In 2011, the last owner subjected the car to a comprehensive restoration. The bare bodywork was refurbished and the original colour was rebuilt. The mechanicals were also overhauled, with the engine and gearbox stripped down and the original interior preserved. The car, naturally certified as a veteran, is in an extraordinarily fine condition both visually and mechanically.
