Description
This auction is now live and runs until next Monday (12th).
The car is estimated at between £24, 000 and £29, 000.
Please contact us if you'd like to arrange a viewing - a full description of the car and exhaustive photographic documentation is available now on the Berlinetta website.
We at Berlinetta are long standing devotees of Big Healeys and generally also take against ‘pastiches’ of other models, so we approached this consignment with a certain degree of raised eyebrow, but the quality of the ‘non-Healey’ components and the care and attention that have been taken with both the assembly and maintenance of this particular example completely won us over. Given that a) the reserve is well below even what the tattiest 100/ 4 would command, b) the Lenham is actually quicker, and c) it's far rarer, we'd suggest that this Lot has the power to surprise and delight anyone yet to become fully acquainted with the criminally under-rated Lenham brand.
Summation:
Converted from an original 100/ 4 - thought to be one of just two.
Restored to a high standard by a motor engineer with full Lenham bodywork in 1980.
Retained by him until 2025.
Desirable overdrive and wire wheels specification.
Alfin brakes and some ‘M’ specification engine parts.
Connolly leather interior.
Delightful condition.
Recently recommissioned with a number of new parts and running beautifully.
The quintessential head turner and an absolute blast to drive.
Realistically reserved
