Descrizione
This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase an original 1963 RHD Alfa Romeo 101 Giulia Spider in superb restored condition.
One of just 400 RHD cars built of which only around 70 cars are known to the Guilietta Register today. With just 67, 000 miles from new, chassis number AR38310 presents a fine opportunity to own a very desirable Guilietta model. The Giulia Spider comes equipped with the larger 1, 570cc version of Alfa Romeo’s respected twin-cam engine making it more suited to longer tours than the smaller engined car. The 2 inch longer wheelbase of the 101 series Giuliettas offer more legroom and coupled with the later five speed gearbox is more suited to relaxed cruising. The car is a completely original 'Normale' model with no mechanical alterations and is quite rare in a world where so many have been retrofitted with twin Weber carburettors, racing cams and exhausts.
Finished in its original graphite grey, this Giulia has undergone extensive restoration work in the last couple of years, with bills on file totaling close to £28, 000.
Works have included a complete re-paint back to its original Grigio Grafito (graphite grey) with photos of works on file. All bright-work and chrome has been restored or replaced, new radiator, clutch, brakes, fuel tank, exhaust system, new windscreen, number-plates, prop-shaft seals and a complete re-build of gearbox and carbs, along with many more items.
The interior has been re-trimmed and a new mohair hood and tonneau fitted and now looks fantastic.
Suffice to say the car is now in superb condition throughout and drives every bit as good as it looks!
Now ready for its new owner, this rare car is only available due to the current owners purchase of yet another classic Alfa Romeo.
