Description
This is the early XKR 2 door Coupe with the legendary Jaguar V8 4. 0 Supercharged engine.
An iconic shape with performance to match these cars are getting hard to find and offer refinement and finesse. These XKR's had lots of options from new and this one is no exception. It has electric windows, mirrors, air con, etc etc.
It is finished in metallic black and has a white leather interior.
We have the service history book from new stamped up to 127997 miles in 2008. It also has invoices for major works carried out including:
Supercharger pump and oil cooler in 2008
Bearings in 2013 at 144k
Suspension bushes in 2013 at 151k
There are other invoices for the services it has had over the years.
The earliest MOT we have is 2004 when the mileage was 44980 so it has been used but looked after.
It is in good condition overall and presents well. The tyres are good and it runs and drives with plenty of power. The dash computer shows no faults.
We have the remote key and the valet green key along with the logbook - for some reason it states grey but does not look like it has a colour change at all. It is also not a convertible as on the ebay listing but a coupe sports as it says on the logbook.
HOWEVER this car had 158604 on the last MOT in Feb and has only covered around 60 miles since. In 2013 it had covered 155879 miles so has not been used much which may explain its faults.
When warmed up it has a misfire under acceleration.
The electric seats partially work but the backs do not go up or down although they are comfortable as they are.
There is wear on the drivers bolster.
The electric mirrors are not working. The battery in it although working appears to be the wrong size and we have been advised that this may be the cause of these faults?
There are a few marks here and there. It has some minor rusting around the top of the rear window
We have taken this car in part exchange and therefore we are selling as a trade sale - it does have these few niggles which when sorted will make this a 7k car!
We are offering a low reserve auction and there is no warranty implied or given on this one. Any inspection is of course welcome at your leisure.
The car is HPI clear and has no record of any incidents so if you are handy with the spanners and know your way around a Jaguar this is a bargain!
