Description
Rare opportunity to acquire this spectacular, restored Austin Mini Mk1 Cooper S "Italian Job" replica. HMP 729F is the actual number plate on the car and will be sold with the car. The film car was HMP 729G but of course, G plates can not be fitted to an actual MK1 Mini due to the age of the cars.
Fitted with a 1330cc Bill Richards tuned engine, 3. 1 Cross pinned Diff, Cooper S Disc brakes and S rear drums, Mk 1 Brake servo and S master cylinder and Oil Cooler. New radiator and uprated alternator along with front wiring loom have also been fitted. New Competition clutch, master and slave cylinders and Gaz shocks. Hydrolastic suspension is also retained as per spec. The Italian Job lamp bar is the genuine design from the original cars as are the Cibie Oscar Spot lights, the grilles and the very rare Cibie Concave Headlights with switchable beam as as fitted to the cars in the film. The roll bar inside also compliments the look of the car. Twin fuel tanks are fitted as are the correct brackets. Also the cut out in the gearbox tunnel is also Cooper S spec. The car has zero rust. She underwent a restoration last year including replacing the front wings and scuttle with a full repaint in Tartan Red. Minilife Cooper S wheels are fitted and the spare is also a Minilife rim (the best replica Minilite wheels). Red/ Gold Brocade interior, period Moto-Lita wheel and Kangol Sea tbelts compliment the car to period spec. MOT until June 2018. Very Reluctant sale of a rare and increasingly valuable car with high performance engine and a very valuable registration plate. Viewing in Somerset.
