Description
1964 MG Midget Mk2
The MG Midget was a slight more expensive Austin Sprite launched in 1961. This is the popular Mk2 model with the strengthened large bearings, wind up windows and quarter lights, 1098cc engine.
The car has had extensive work by previous owners including a respray to the period correct British Racing Green (GN29 colour code). The car benefits from any new panels required when resprayed and photos of some of the restoration works are included along with a history file of receipts dating back to 1983 alongside a wealth of old MOT's.
A new mohair hood was fitted in 2016 including refinishing the frame. This really does look stunning on the car.
The wheels have been shot blasted and powder coated (including a spare) and refitted with now new knock ons. The seats appear to have been refinished in the past to a high standard.
The car drives great and really is a icon of British motoring.
The Car is presented in great condition for a 54 year old car.
Fresh 12 month MOT with no advisories.
