Items to plan for and work priorities
As with any vehicle over 60 years old kept close to its original state, the car has some points to address, which I had planned to correct:
• Steering box overhaul planned, there is play between column and box
• Clutch nearing end of life, replacement planned. Transmission inspection when dismantling
• Replacement of rear brake discs and pads, with rear braking overhaul at this occasion (handbrake functional, front discs and pads new)
• More minor, some typical seepage on older mechanicals, in the absence of modern oil seals
(pulley rear crankshaft, gearbox, overdrive)
These points are in line with the vehicle's age and fit a normal restoration/ upgrade plan, reflected in the positioning and price.
