Jaguar Type E – 1968
Part-exchange or trade-in possible (Mercedes Pagode)
An icon of British motoring
I’m offering for sale a 1968 Jaguar Type E, an iconic model in automotive history and a true symbol of 1960s elegance and performance.
Presented in a configuration faithful to the spirit of the original, this Type E embodies Malcolm Sayer’s timeless design, with its flowing lines, long bonnet and unmistakable sporting character. From the moment it was launched, the Type E defined its era to such an extent that Enzo Ferrari described it as the most beautiful car ever designed.
This 1968 model benefits from the upgrades specific to that period of production, while keeping the pure, authentic DNA that has made the Type E famous. It offers a truly unique driving experience, combining mechanical feel, its distinctive soundtrack and vintage charm.
Suitable for both a knowledgeable collector and an enthusiast who wants to drive a legend, this Jaguar Type E represents a rare opportunity to acquire a model that has become a must-have on the classic car market.
It was imported from Texas in 1990 and has had only one owner since then. The car was stood up for 10 years and underwent a complete refurbishment in 2025.
This includes:
- full respray
- all bodywork seals are new, as are the window seals, windscreen seal, rear quarter window seals, etc.
- reupholstered interior (carpets, headlining, front seats reworked (foam + covers))
Mechanical side:
- alternator
- starter motor
- radiator
- full braking system (master cylinder, servo, brake lines, double-piston callipers)
- all shock absorbers
- tank with pump and level gauge
- brand-new engine wiring looms
- rear bearings
- refurbished carburettors (ultrasonic cleaned and set up)
- brand-new battery
