The Jaguar E-Type needs no introduction. On its launch in 1961, Enzo Ferrari described it as the “most beautiful car ever built.” With the arrival of the Series 3 in 1971, Jaguar adopted a new direction: more refinement, greater comfort and above all considerably more power thanks to the impressive 5. 3-litre V12.
The Series 3 is distinguished by its widened track, redesigned front end and more luxurious cabin. Whereas the early E-Types were pure sports cars, the V12 version becomes a true grand tourer. Its engine delivers remarkable flexibility, quiet operation and ample power, ideal for long journeys.
This example, built in 1971 and presented in an elegant green, benefited from professional restoration and is today in very good condition. Equipped with an automatic transmission, it perfectly suits the refined and comfortable spirit of the Series 3.
In preparation for sale and at the request of a potential buyer, a compression test was carried out confirming what we already knew: the engine is in perfect condition!
