We are delighted to present this Austin Healey 100 for sale, and not just any! It’s a very rare version: the BN1 model with a four-cylinder engine, sporting the superb Healey Blue colour paired with elegant navy blue upholstery. Donald Healey dubbed it the “Hundred” in reference to its ability to reach 100 mph, a notable achievement for the era, just behind the Jaguar XK120 but ahead of the MGs and Triumphs.
Delivered new in July 1955 to Yokohama, Japan, as confirmed by its British Motor Heritage certificate, this Austin Healey has benefited from a complete restoration carried out by a specialist. Everything is in exceptional condition: underpinnings, bodywork, mechanics, running gear, upholstery… Each detail has been meticulously restored with taste.
Moreover, this car is “matching numbers” for both body and engine, and has been modernised with enhancements such as a four-speed gearbox with overdrive, electronic ignition, a high-performance starter and an alternator.
It also features the full set of equipment: soft top, tonneau cover, and side-screens (rare on these models).
Finally, the car has just undergone a full revision conducted in our workshops.
