Description

The very first generation of the Porsche 911, affectionately known in Germany as the ‘Urmodell der Neunelfer’. This particular example dates from the early years of 911 production and thus represents a genuine short-wheelbase version — one of the purest expressions of the model.

The coachwork was manufactured by Karmann, a name synonymous with exceptional German craftsmanship. Coupled with the Porsche authenticity certificate, this underscores the highly collectible character of this car.

Our example is simply remarkable. Between 2016 and 2018, it underwent a complete body restoration, with no expense spared. The body was repainted in its original colour, while mechanical components were carefully rebuilt and improved by APP Racing Engines.

Under the rear hood lies the beating heart: the original air-cooled 2. 0-litre flat-six, fully rebuilt with lightened pistons and a type S camshaft, now developing around 190 horsepower. Power is transmitted by a five-speed manual gearbox, matching numbers, fully overhauled, with the classic H-pattern.

First registered in June 1966 and delivered new in California, USA, this 911 was imported to the Netherlands in 1991, where it has since been cherished by passionate owners.

The exterior presents in an elegant Silver Metallic shade, beautifully paired with a refined black leatherette interior, enhanced with tasteful wood accents. The car rides on 15-inch Fuchs wheels, silver with black centres, paired with gold brake calipers and Avon tyres, completing its unmistakable look.

Inside, you’ll find VDO gauges, a distinctive four-spoke steering wheel and an FM Blaupunkt radio that perfectly captures the spirit of the era.

During the restoration, the original engine was not only rebuilt but carefully enhanced; the matching-numbers gearbox was overhauled and re-fitted; and the brakes, suspension, wiring, and interior were all completely renewed to the highest standards. No compromise — and you can feel it in the drive: immediate, precise and full of pace. A machine that does exactly what you expect of it, and much more, equally at home on a sporty drive as on long-distance cruising with ease and confidence.

The restoration and history are well documented, accompanied by a detailed photo dossier.

“Old cars end up scrapped. Old Porsches go to the museum.”
