Description
FERRARI 330 GT 2+2 SERIES 1 1964
Chassis No. 6341
V12- 4. 0l - 300hp
MANUAL GEARBOX 4 SPEEDS
Just over 1, 000 examples produced for the successor to the 275 GTE 2+2, which hit the market in 1963.
Produced in two series (four headlights until 1965, then two headlights until 1967), our example is part of the first odd-numbered run from 4963 to 7533, produced in only 625 units.
The elegant silhouette of the 330 GT 2+2 is the work of Pininfarina. Its twin headlights give it a distinctly US look, while its almond-shaped taillights challenge the styling of its predecessor, the 250.
A mark of distinction for this model: its Borrani aluminium wire wheels. In fact, these are only found on the early year of the series.
Under the bonnet lies the famous 4. 0‑litre Ferrari V12 fed by three Weber 40 carburettors, delivering around 300 hp. Pure magic! This example is fitted, as originally specified, with the codified version "209".
All paired to a four-speed gearbox with overdrive, as in most Series 1. It is from the second series that a five-speed version appeared.
Finally the real plus of this GT: its long wheelbase, which allows for four occupants. Not insignificant for anyone who might want to share it with their family, for example.
This example is notable for being owned by a famous French navigator, also seasoned in motorsport with a rally raid pedigree, particularly at the Dakar in the 1990s.
As a seasoned automobile connoisseur and avid collector, he has owned this very fine car for four years and takes good care of it. His mechanical expertise has allowed him to tame this Ferrari V12, with maintenance monitored and regular.
On the outside, the car was restored and repainted a few years ago. It shows a light patina that adds to its charm.
The chromework is in excellent, gleaming condition.
The inspection revealed the good state of the sills and chassis, previously restored.
The cabin is also in very good condition, having been restored over time by its previous owners.
The upholstery is nearly new. The dashboard shows no faults. The carpets are in good condition.
The three-spoke steering wheel is also a thing of beauty.
On the engine side, its owner recently deemed it prudent to replace the braking system with higher-performance calipers.
A renowned Ferrari specialist has reviewed the engine settings. The fuel system has been made reliable to prevent vapor lock.
All services have been carried out: engine, gearbox, differential, and brakes.
The engine has remained healthy since purchase, requiring no major work, but rather regular maintenance and carburation tuning, according to its owner.
It was also shown at a prestigious elegance contest, the Legends of Nice, in April 2026.
A sleek, understated rocket of a car that also seats four. The 330 GT really has some serious attributes!
