This magnificent MGA roadster was sold new in the Netherlands, where it has lived its entire life. The car has been very well maintained, serviced and cared for over the decades; this MGA 1600 is in excellent condition and drives beautifully.
Up until the 1950s, MG relied heavily on the pre-war MG T series, which enjoyed huge success with American soldiers returning home to the United States. In the US, small sports cars were unheard of before the Second World War, and the MG was the first British sports car that Americans truly fell in love with.
The elegant design of the MGA is inspired by the MG Le Mans racing car, designed by Sid Evener on an MG TD chassis in 1951. The glorious look of the MGA can stand up to the very best created by the famous Italian designers of the era, and is one of the purest and most stylish British car designs ever produced.
This stunning example boasts beautiful original details and is fitted with chrome wire wheels, a chrome luggage rack, chrome wing-mounted mirrors, an stainless-steel exhaust, an electric cooling fan, and disc brakes on the front wheels (original MGA 1600 fitment). In addition, a sport steering wheel with a wooden rim and a smaller wheel diameter is fitted. The original steering wheel is included with the car. This
