Description
The 1. 5 series is an intermediate model between the series 1 (discontinued in 1966) and the series 2.
It retained the external appearance of the series 1 (except for the headlight covers) but benefits from all the improvements of the series 2, notably a 4. 2 engine in place of the 3. 8.
This model is ultimately the rarest as it was built in only approximately 3, 000 examples over a single year, of which approximately 1, 000 examples in roadster version were imported to the United States at 90%.
The vehicle offered has been restored to concours condition in 2017.

It has been driven very little - only one annual regularity rally (approximately 2, 000 km per year).
- Annual maintenance (oil changes) and some work (new tyres - aluminium radiator) mean that the external and internal appearance as well as its operation have been preserved since the restoration.
The vehicle is permanently covered in a closed garage - it is driven regularly - it starts without difficulty (kill switch).
Its bodywork is perfectly aligned and its black paint (original black) is also in perfect condition (except for a few wear marks).
The seats are in red leather in very good condition.
The soft top is in perfect condition as well as the red leather soft top cover.
The vehicle is supplied with its documents (classic registration document and insurance currently valid (RÉTRO +) - it has not been in an accident since purchase and has not been subject to any accident claim with the insurance company.
The restoration invoices (approximately €100, 000) as well as a USB stick with 200 photographs will be provided.
The asking price is well below its purchase price and the 2025 valuation comes to €145, 000 (available on request).
The engine and gearbox as well as the essential components are original (Matching Numbers).
The vehicle will be supplied with a travel kit comprising a set of new parts (spark plugs, inner tube, fuel pump, etc.).
