"Viewable in our showroom in France (L'Atelier des Coteaux)"
The Jaguar XK120, unveiled in 1948 at the London Motor Show, marked Jaguar's renaissance following the Second World War and quickly became a benchmark amongst British sports cars. Designed by William Lyons, it captivates with its elegant lines, its long bonnet and harmonious proportions that perfectly embody the aesthetic of roadsters of the era. Its name "XK120" references its theoretical top speed of 120 mph, an exceptional figure for the late 1940s. It introduced the celebrated XK straight-six engine of 3. 4 litres with dual overhead camshafts, a powerplant as refined as it was potent.
Initially produced with an aluminium body and later in steel, it quickly achieved international success. The XK120 also distinguished itself in competition, particularly in the hands of private drivers, contributing to forging Jaguar's sporting reputation. Its elegance, performance and unique character make it one of the greatest British automotive icons. Today, it is particularly sought after by collectors worldwide. A true symbol of British craftsmanship, the Jaguar XK120 represents the perfect alliance between refinement, sporting spirit and historical heritage.
We are delighted to present for sale this magnificent Jaguar XK120 OTS, an example that combines British elegance, sporting character and carefully executed enhancements.
