The Appeal
Fast, agile and economic, the Velocette was - and is - a much respected British single. Originally launched with the idea of hauling sidecars, the post-war iteration of the bike was a touring mount through and through. Celebrated for its high-camshaft engine layout and the refined, purposeful character that earned the Birmingham marque a fiercely loyal following, it's still an icon.
This 1954 example has been in the same family for over 30 years, having been purchased from a family friend in 1993. It was subsequently entrusted to a Velocette club enthusiast for a rebuild carried out over the years leading up to 2019. Whether you plan to polish it up to show standards or keep it strictly as is, we're sure it'll prove a rewarding addition to your fleet. image.png1.26 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
