  • Scintillating 205bhp rally-to-road weapon

The Appeal

It was just like Lancia to save the best til last. One last roll of the rally dice resulted in the astonishing Integrale, the AWD weapon that took the gravel-shuffling fight straight to Audi.
Where the Quattro was clinical, the Integrale was both capable and charismatic. A series of road cars culminated in the 16-valve Evos that trumped the Audi with over 200bhp on tap. Revered by enthusiasts these cars are unquestionably amongst the best Italian performance cars ever built.
Here is a low mileage, very well kept and factory standard Evo I. First registered in Japan it was imported here in 2021. Since then it has received a full bare metal respray in original black metallic and over £12,000 of investment through Integrale specialist Walkers, including timing belts, service, injectors, fuel pressure regulator and cosmetic titivation under the bonnet.
It is clearly a well cared for example of one of classic motoring’s most thrilling cars. A great opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.

The History and Paperwork

  • Japanese export certificate confirms first registration on 6th June 1994
  • UK registered on 1st March 2022 with one registered keeper
  • Full bare metal strip down and respray within last five years
  • Various invoices from specialist Walkers totalling over £12,000
  • Timing belts, condition check, and engine bay powder coating in July 2021
  • Full service and new wheels and tyres fitted at the same time
  • Injectors and fuel pressure regulator work in March 2023
  • Supplied with Speedline alloys fitted and set of OZ Racing alloys
  • MOT to 22nd February 2024 with no advisories and just 40kms covered since test
  • MOT records indicate the car has covered less than 1,000kms since arriving in the UK
  • Dyno print out dated 8th March 2023 relating to injector testing
The Evo version of the Integrale retained the 16v engine but with more power and a wider track to improve performance and handling. There were two versions, the Evo I and, from June 1993, the Evo II with catalyser, altered cosmetics and trim and slightly increased power.
Records show that this car was first registered in June 1994. Although Evo I production ended a year earlier the vendor confirms it is an Evo I and the specification shown in the photographs - such as the seats, paint colour and fuel filler - supports this.
According to the export certificate supplied with the car it was exported to the UK in 2019. Since arriving here it has received a full respray in original black and over £12,000 has been invested at Walkers, the well known and highly regarded Integrale specialist. In 2021 this included a full service and timing belts. The Speedline wheels and tyres were fitted at the same time. In 2023 the injectors were checked and overhauled by Walkers.

The Condition

  • Beautifully presented low mileage car finished in unmarked black metallic
  • Bodywork in very good order with straight panels showing no damage or corrosion
  • Sits on attractive 17in Speedline grey anodised alloys in unmarked condition
  • Pirelli tyres fitted in 2022 with few miles covered
  • Spare set of white OZ Racing wheels supplied with tyres showing good condition and tread
  • Factory correct exterior with upgrades to wheels noted above
  • Very good underside with no advisories noted on recent MOT
  • High specification Evo I interior showing barely any signs of wear
  • Optional Recaro ‘anatomic’ perforated Alcantara seats in light green
  • These show good condition with only light wear to driver’s seat
  • Fitted with a high-end Kenwood stereo with colour screen
  • Sparco pedals fitted but otherwise largely standard interior
  • Two spoke OMP Alcantara-trimmed wheel showing light wear
The joy of the Integrale is that it mixes functional, boxy aesthetics with Italian flair - just look at those Recaro green Alcantara seats. Finished in understated black metallic, this beautifully presented Evo I is in exceptionally good order, only very light wear to the driver’s seat indicating its 29 years. It has been tastefully enhanced with unmarked Speedline 17in alloys - a full set of white OZ Racing rims are also supplied.

Pleasingly factory standard and clearly well maintained and cared for, this car would be a perfect addition to any discerning collection.

The Mechanics

  • 1,998cc Fiat twin cam 205bhp 16v 4cyl engine
  • 0-60mph in 6secs
  • Garret T3 turbocharger
  • 5spd manual gearbox
  • Detailed engine bay with powder coated cam cover and strut brace
  • Less than 1,000kms since recent service by Walkers
  • Timing belts and general condition check by Walkers in 2022
  • Injectors and fuel pressure regulator work in March 2023
Fiat’s twin cam is acclaimed as one of the greatest Italian engines of the last 50 years so it is perhaps fitting that it found one of its last homes under the bonnet of the iconic Integrale. Equipped with 16valves and a chunky Garrett T3 turbo it delivered 205bhp, conveniently trouncing its arch rival the Quattro. Naturally this mean scintillating performance, delivered via a startlingly grippy 4WD system.
With any Integrale you will want the reassurance of good history. On that, this car certainly delivers. Since arriving in the UK a few years ago it has had over £9,000 spent with Integrale specialist Walkers, including timing belts, full service and injectors overhaul. It has covered very few miles since this work.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
