The Appeal
Few modern BMWs have been quite as lauded as the M4 Competition. Built for customers for whom the standard M4 just doesn’t quite cut it, the Competition added carbon fittings and lightweight seats to cut weight and centre of gravity, alongside detail improvements like upgraded anti roll bars, stiffer springs, retuned dampers and a remapped Active M Differential.
Thankfully this very tidy Mineral Grey M4 Competition remains as BMW intended, namely unmodified across aesthetics and mechanicals. The current keeper, the third, acquired it in 2023 and has used it for lengthy motorway trips between Aberdeen and Cheshire. It is a sign of his approach that he switches between quality branded winter and summer tyres.
The car is in good order, something that is supported by the lengthy, advisory-free MOT. This is a car for the driver’s, and one that has clearly been cherished and respected by its previous and current ones.
The vendor says:
“This is a Carbon Fibre RWD M4 Competition, I have driven it with summer / winter tyres. The car is lightweight, quick and agile, the handling is astonishingly good.”
