Fiat 2300 S Coupe 1964
The beautiful 2300 S coupe was designed by Ghia in 1959 and presented for the first time at the 1960 Turin Motor Show.
The Coupe was assembled by OSI on a Fiat chassis, with a Ghia body and equipped with a six-cylinder engine designed by Aurelio Lampredi.
The S version of 2300 engine type 114B006 has double twin choke Weber 38DCOE carburettors and reworked cylinder head by Abarth producing 150 SAE PS and giving this coupe, a top speed of 200 km/ h. Attached is a 4 speed all synchromesh manual gearbox and four-wheel disc brakes with double brake boosters to provide the stopping power.
The car for sale was manufactured in 1964, but registered first time in Germany on 9 May 1966 and was fitted with the series 2 chrome stripes along the sides. However, the car is undoubtedly a series 1 which is clearly seen on the interior design.
The car was repainted in the 1980s in its original red colour. It has a beautiful black interior with a nice patina, a beautiful and original wooden Nardi steering wheel and a dashboard generously equipped with Veglia instruments and other luxury fittings like an airplane-style footrest for the passenger.
This car is very sound. It is an older restoration with some user marks but with a very sound and strong rust-free body. Engine is very strong and revs freely, gearbox is smooth and the disc brakes are very good. Everything works and it is a very pleasant car to drive.
The car had four owners in Germany before it was sold to Norway in 2006.
Previous owner is the second in Norway.
In 2016 the car underwent comprehensive work on the brakes, electrical system and engine with refurbished carburettors. Several missing and/ or unoriginal parts were fitted and the interior given a thorough clean.
Last May the car participated in the 27th International Annual Meeting of the FIAT 2300 S Coupé IG in Bad Essen Germany.

The vehicle is located in Oslo which is only a short flight away from most European cities. Tha car can easily be shipped to Kiel by ferry and driven to Hamburg or any city in north Europe.
