OUTSTANDING MK1 MEXICO RECREATION 1972
Firstly I’m in 2 minds wether to sell her or keep her. I’ve had over 10 MK1’s & each time I sold one was to get one better. After having the fortunate chance to owning so many of these beautiful cars THIS is far the best I’ve had. She is in outstanding condition & all the work carried out on her was to the highest standards. Pictures do NO justice. You’ve got to see her in the flesh to really appreciate the standards & presence this car has.
She is at my mates workshop who has been restoring MG’s & Triumph Stags also the AC Cobra for over 30 years. I’m getting a few jobs done on her like full rear boot carpeted. Engine fully tuned & set the 45’s up on rolling Road. Basically a full health check as i said I don’t really wanna sell her & im not desperate for the money. While she’s been at my pal’s workshop there’s been some serious interest in her with his own customers so if you are interested be quick.
You would be pushed to find one better in this incredible condition. If she was a genuine AVO she would be worth over 40K. To be honest she looks & drives like the real thing & that’s what matters to me at half the price.
She attracts attention wherever she goes. I remember when I bought her back on a trailer someone was offering to buy it.
She was bought over from Portugal in 2015 as you are well aware that because of the climate over there is hot & the shell is basically rust free. She was originally white before been painted in vista orange with the Mexico decals added on.
I took over 8 months restoring her & more or less every part on her was bought BRAND NEW at a cost of over 15K with invoices to proof. That’s not including the labour & man hours that have gone into this project. Total cost is no where near what I’m asking for her.
She sounds AWESOME & looks STUNNING.
All duties have been paid & she has a fresh UK V5 which is in my name & my home address.
