Welcome to the sale of this beautiful Ford Escort MK1, The car has just undergone a full restoration with endless new parts and a full bare metal respray! Only 45000 genuine miles from new.
The car was bought last year as a lovely genuine low mileage 1100 mk1 finished in sunset red. Since Last year the car has been having a complete make over. firstly a visit to Montescort one of the uks best escort specialist, the chaps there stripped the car and put a new front floor pan in the car, new sills and had mexico wings fitted to the car. It then went for a full bare metal respray in stunning Ford Olympic blue, I have photos of the car throughout the paintjob which took 6 months to complete. The detail and quality of the paintwork is stunning with no swill marks or orange peel effect anywhere. Every area of the car has been painted so you wont find any red anywhere!! All of the engine bay has been smoothed over and is perfect for a show car.
The car then went back to Montescort where it has had a complete over haul work major work completed includes:
Fitting a new 1600 X flow engine which has been painted and detailed.
New 4 branch manifold and new exhaust system
4 new rebuilt poly bushes
Front vented disks and calipers and new front struts
Gaz dampers front and rear
convert from dyno to alternator
During this work I decided to have more work done to the car including:
5 Speed gearbox fitted
engine rebored +90 1300 pistons newman road rally camshaft all rebuilt
twin webbers fitted ( sound amazing )
Full new carpet
Alloy radiator
Plus many other little bits and bobs.
The restoration has completely got out of hand and have spent over £14000 in upgrades. The car is now basically a brand new car, starts of the key first time everytime and drives a dream!!
