Body is in great condition with virtually no rust as this was a genuine Californian car, imported by myself this summer.
Mechanically sound and runs really well - a pleasure to drive in fact! A real Head Turner! My friends and family are queuing up for a quick spin, really, no joke! Lol!
Fully UK registered with number plates and comes with V5 Document. No MOT required and although it has to be registered for Tax, but as it is Historic Class this is free. This means that all the paperwork and registering are done so the car can be driven away effectively, apart from insurance and registering the car for Tax in your name (free). The buyer will drive away at their own risk, but a car transporter may be a wiser option, until you are fully confident with the car.

All front rubber gaiters/ boots replaced for ball joints, track rod ends & steering rack
Plus many other items repaired and/ or replaced in order to get the car to a good standard.... up to number 46 on my list of jobs so far! I will be happy to supply the buyer with a full list of jobs and receipts too. Nearly £1000 spent so far!
The car is not perfect and will need to be further restored in due course, but it is a fine, solid classic which is lovely to drive and great to look at! And you can drive it away!
The car has been re-sprayed at some point in the past as it was originally Sable with Cinnamon interior (As per Jaguar Heritage Certificate... also provided) and although it looks generally super, a closer inspection reveals paint work flaking and cracking in some areas, but no rust issues. There is a small dent at the front in the right hand bumper over-rider and a corresponding small dent in the bodywork behind.
Interior has been refurbished at some time also, with renewed carpets which are in nearly perfect condition. When I took them out for washing the floors underneath were clean, solid and rust free! And they also got thoroughly washed as did the rest of the interior.
The leather upholstery is generally very good apart from some wear and sadly a couple of areas of pet scratches as a previous owner must have had a dog. All can be repaired by a leather specialist though as it is not that bad! The roof lining material has sagged and is not a huge job to remove and glue back, but this will be a job for the buyer. Many internet links explain how to do this.
Engine is not the original, but still a Jaguar 4. 2 from the same era (from 1970 I believe), which runs very well by the way. The car starts readily and pulls well and the Borg Warner Auto Transmission changes smoothly. Mileage states 88700 but there is no way to verify this.
The tyres are excellent and there is a brand new, unused spare. It has lovely solid chrome wheels fitted with nice jaguar valve dust caps which I added as they were missing.
All in all a rather beautiful car just waiting for the right new owner. Somebody is going to love this car!
Not the usual import, which are often scruffy, not driveable, unregistered with ripped seats and rust - but a nice, USE-ABLE classic sports car ready for the next stage of renovation - when you are ready. Until then, with due care and maintenance, it can be used, driven and enjoyed!
Payment will be by Bank Transfer only and the car will remain with me until funds are fully cleared. Viewing is welcomed and as I am in Inverness, Scotland, I would be happy to pick you up at the Airport or Train Station if you are travelling from afar. (At least it's not as far as California!!) The car will be sold as seen, with no warranty implied or given.
