A very nice Escort Sport just imported from sunny Johannesburg South Africa.
For the many people that have asked, yes i can register the car before sale. I charge £500 to do this or you can do it yourself for £55!, exactly why pay me!
Good Points,
This car has an excellent shell. You will not find a shell as good as this for anywhere near this money.
Body is dead straight, no waviness or distortion in panels.
This Sport is not full of filler, like many.
Excellent "A" posts.
Excellent door bottoms and wheel arches.
Very good floors and chassis rails. Just a dent on the offside front rail. I can find no signs of previous welding to the floors or chassis rails.
I have ripped out the carpet to show how good the floor is.
Has the correct 831C block.
Strengthened shell, shock top plates, etc, similar to the UK RS, s.
Long range fuel tank.
Correct sports exhaust manifold fitted as per original cars.
Genuine Escort Sport, there are many fakes out there.
Heater bubble is excellent, quite rare on these.
Bad Points,
I have not attempted to start the engine so have no idea if it runs.
Various parts are disconnected such as clutch cable, and who knows what else?
No front seats, door cards or carpet.
No keys.
Paint has a few defects as per pictures.
Front off side wing has been damaged in shipping.
Roof has a paint scrape at rear off side.
The car is a project and will need work throughout, but it is a very solid project

Registration process is simple enough and i can assist if need be.
I will supply the South African registration paper and NOVA letter to prove all customs duties have been paid.
As of next month, January 2019 the car will be MOT and road tax exempt.
