Description
Since 1960 Citroen offered the DS Cabriolet Usine which was manufactured by Henri Chapron in Paris Levallois. Until 1974 Chapron created further special bodies on DS basis in small series among them the beautiful Cabriolet Palm Beach.
Just five exemplars of the most beautiful Cabriolet Palm Beach of the 1st series with the gently bent rear were produced between 1962 and 1964. Four of this rare convertibles are in collector´s hand and one seems to be lost.
This DS was professionally and very carefully built up new as a Convertible Palm Beach according to the specifications by Henri Chapron including any associated features. While the coachwork and the interior correspond to the rare Palm Beach edition, the car has the sophisticated techniques and the more powerful engine of the DS 23 model. This Cabriolet Palm Beach of the first series is the only exemplar for sale in the worldwide market. A rare opportunity to purchase a vehicle which stands for the French Savoir-Vivre of the 1960s!
