Well it is with a heavy heart that I advertise my Jeff Uren Ford Cortina Savage 3000E 1969 IN Aqua Jade with a Black vinyl roof, with the following opions, twin fuel tanks, dunlop D1 wheels (Originals) Les Leston Steering wheel, bucket seats, over drive unit.
The car was rebuild between 2009 and 2012 by Dave Marson. The engine was rebuilt by Frank Anderson Racing Engines in 2016 at a cost of over £8000.
The car has copies of the original build specifications and purchase order to prove its provenance.
It has been maintained to a very high standard since the rebuild.
The car is not perfect it has the following very minor faults
1) Fuel sender unit is stuck so the fuel gauge reads full at all times.
2) The overdrive switch will on occasions disengage
3) The period radio works (ipad connect) but there is no continuity between the radio and Ariel .
4) Rev counter reads high.
This is a rare car in excellent condition, I sold a Mk11 lotus cortina to buy this car and it drives far better than the lotus, lots of high end torque meaning low revs and infrequent gear changes.
The car is being sold due to ill health and lack of use. It is well known on the West Country show circuit and is a show winner. It is also known to the Rob Sargeant and is listed on the Savage Register.
