2004 Chevrolet Impala 9C1 American cop car for sale. A rare beast, only 6 or so in the UK.
Genuine police 9C1 spec- this isn't just some civilian car tarted up, as some are. This has the rubber floor, surveillance mode, certified speedometer etc.
It also has rear window bars as well as the Whelen Liberty lightbar, push bar, rear traffic advisor, built in SoundOff wig-wag headlight flashers too and Code 3 genuine American siren with cut-off under the hood (bonnet). CHP decals are all reflective and the rear ALPR simulation cameras look the part too.
I am the original private owner- it was used at RAF Mildenhall. It's therefore fully registered, all taxes paid etc, totally road legal. The CHP did use these for a while so the livery is accurate for the car.
Goes well, engine is near silent 3800cc V6, chain cam so no cambelt. 4 speed gearbox, overdrive and kicks down beautifully. Front wheel drive and 30mpg mean this is actually quite affordable to run for an American car. Road tax is £265 and insurance with RH costs less than £200 per annum
Dateless plates come with the car
Only small issues with this, hence cheap price with no haggling please:
very slight blow centre exhaust (only advisory on MOT), ABS light goes on and off, security light is on (absolutely no idea why, doesn't affect running of the vehicle), can't seem to get hot air out of the vents, AC needs re-gassing.
Work done- new radiator, new heater matrix, new vapour canister purge valve, thermostat, new elbow pipes, lower and upper radiator pipes, undersealed, transmission and torque converter flushed with correct Dexron fluid and filters (transmission, air, pollen, oil) replaced. Sony double DIN Bluetooth stereo with streaming and hands-free, the GM Delco speakers are all working correctly and sound good for a stock system.
Lovely car to drive, no knocks or rattles, apart from the above she's a sorted car and ready to have fun with or even do weddings/ proms etc
I also have spare doors, fenders (front and back), trunk, hood if people want to buy spare body parts. Try getting hold of replacements(!)
