Rare ponton webasto sliding "soft-top" roof mercedes 219, it was a part of the postwar mercedes luxury 200 series including 220s & 220se.
1957 mercedes-benz ponton 219 model(lhd) fitted with a factory webasto sliding soft-top roof. A rust free classic car imported from the sunshine state of florida, usa. The last owner was a business man who had it for many years and looked after well and always kept in garage, only used for pleasure driving in the weekends.
this car has double carburettor six cylinder m180 engine with four speed manual transmission, liver on steering column. The engine had been fully overhauled, odometer shows 7141 miles. Black paint work is still stunning and very presentable condition. Interior also restored with a beautiful red colour leather seats, red carpet and wood trim on the dash and doors. A new webasto soft-top and re-conditioned gas tank were also fitted. Chrome bumpers and lights are also in very good condition. Clean rust free boot, undercarriage and inter wheel arches. Overall this is a very good example. Starts runs & drives well. Truly a collectable item, hard to find, and very good investment. Original owner manual and an original colour mb 219 book are included.
