This is my little 1932 J2 MG. It is very sound and roadworthy condition and I have used it all over this year on the roads of Wiltshire. V5 is in my name!
Great fun and a real joy to drive. I bought the car as a project, but it is a usable project. Everything works as it should.
It is upgraded to 12V and has an electric fan with thermostatic control to keep it cool when in traffic and stationery.
It had its engine and gearbox replaced in 1952 by a garage, engine direct from Ford. It has a twin carb upgrade on the 10HP engine, Aquaplane, and is very lively and quick. It has a 3 speed Ford gearbox, flies along.
It has had a new body tub in Ash and Aluminium not long ago and I have had it painted to seal. Paint is good on tub and rear wings but original red on bonnet, front wings and front valance.
The chasis is solid and all in good order.
It does want interior panels, carpet and hood.
I have a newly rebuilt steering box and chrome column and 2 x J2 gearboxes for separate negotiation should you wish to discuss. I also know where there is a lovely J2 complete engine available should you require.
