The Lotus (Type 14) Elite was first launched at the 1957 motor show and was the worlds first all fibreglass monocoque chassis production sports car - Only 1000 were produced over the next 4 years with significant numbers being sold to the US. This particular example has only had 4 owners from new and has an exceptional provenance. It comes supplied with a plethora of paperwork including the original brown V5, heritage certificate, awards, press articles, bills , receipts for works carried out over the years and many detailed photos of the full restoration that was carried out in 2000. This is a rare opportunity to own such an exceptional piece of Lotus history and we believe that it will be hard to find a better example.
