I have for sale my Ginetta G27, 1. 8 Zetec, type 9 box and Quaife LSD that was built with all new or rebuilt parts.
It is the rarest and prettiest type of G27 having the pop-up headlight front end and the raised headrest rear end, the later generations got the 'mx5 lights' style. It has been finished in Renault yellow, which has some small marks and stone chips, but overall is in very good condition and looks stunning in every kind of light.
Registered in 1999 on an A reg from its donor car and it has a huge history file and it has done 23k miles. I have owned it since 2015 and it is stored in a garage with a dehumidifier and is only driven on dry days and on not on salty roads though it does get used all year round (weather permitting).
The Zetec has Raceline ancillaries and is fitted with Piper cams and twin 40's Webbers set up on a rolling road and produced 160hp.
Since I have had it, I have done the following work:
• Remove all visible rust from the chassis and treated it with ROR15
• New adjustable shocks and springs supplied by ProComp. co. uk tuned specifically for this car
• New Toyo R1R tyres all round
• New Mintex M1144 brake pads (which improved the braking considerably)
• Rebuilt front 4 pot calipers
• Relocated coil pack to make it more reliable
• Fitted new starting motor and battery
• Plus many other minor small items
Comes with a mohair wet weather roof and two sets of windows, dry and wet. It is water-tight and the roof is in very good condition. The interior was re-trimmed by a TVR specialist and has been done in a lovely blue and cream two-tone.
It passed it’s MOT in Feb’22.
