Description
This original 1972 RHD roadster, chassis number IS1521BW has only had two previous owners.
The first owner had the car from new until 2012. It was used extensively on continental holidays until the 1990's when, with approximately 100, 000 miles covered, he decided to take it off the road and carry out a major restoration including (though by no means limited to) a full body refurbishment and the installation of a new-old-stock engine. He was well qualified to undertake the work as he was the proprietor of a 7, 000 sq ft automotive body shop. The car's current excellent condition bears testimony to the high quality of the work undertaken.
I bought the car from the second owner in 2013.
Sadly with age comes the realization that the car is not getting the use it deserves, and that the days of attending classic car shows and club meetings are over. With the car covering only 100 miles in the last year, I have reluctantly decided to pass it on to a new pair of hands to guide it through the many years that lie ahead of it.
The car comes with an extensive history file including, original purchase documents, original handbook, original service passport, numerous MOT certificates, (next MOT due on the 29/ 6/ 2023), a Jaguar series 3 E-type repair operation manual, a fully illustrated Jaguar series 3 E-type parts catalogue along with a Jaguar heritage certificate to prove its provenance.
It also has its toolkit, spare wheel, hood tonneau, and original engine should any future custodian ever wish to undertake a rebuild and restore the car to original matching numbers.
In all an excellent example just waiting for a new owner to fully appreciate her.
Please note the registration number is NOT included.
