Description

Hello, I'm selling my C32 AMG V6 Kompressor which I have owned for almost 3 years.

The C32 was one of the first official collaborations between Mercedes & AMG when AMG was still independent. The standard 320 V6 engine was reengineered by AMG before they strapped on a supercharger increasing output to 354bhp with a 0-60 time of 4. 9secs (0-62, 5. 2 secs), and a restricted 155mph. The exterior AMG styling is subtle noting the main body panels are otherwise standard C-Class which were used right up until 2007. Very few of these cars were imported into the UK c. 250 so very rare.

It's quick even when you factor in the slight supercharger lag when accelerating off the mark. The midrange acceleration is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The power is smooth and remarkably manageable, the car never feels badly behaved or out of control. By todays standards these cars are also light at 1525kgs so handling is not too bad either.

Visually as with the Mercedes cars from this era the car need a bit of TLC, there are small areas of rust on some panels. I have replacement panels for the rear-arches which are the worst affected areas; these are included in the sale. I've garaged the car throughout each winter generally only using it in the summer. The car comes with a factory fitted sunroof tilt & slide, the AC needs a re-gas. The Mercedes Sport Edition wheels on the car are from a '07 car, all tyres are good. In addition I also have the original 17" AMG wheels (see picture) which are included in the sale price, they need a refurb and one tyre needs replacing. I only have one key and the NSF fog light grill is missing.

The plate C6 KOM is included in the price, C-Class, 6-cylinder, KOM-Kompressor, but I'm sure you've already worked that out. I could be persuaded to sell separately at the right price.

Internally the all black leather seats are still in very good condition, both front seats are fully adjustable with memory, both front seats are heated although the drivers seat does not heat. The cabin-heater works fine but annoyingly 'clicks' on start up as it runs through it's self test mode, common fault. The car is still fitted with the original AMG floor mats.

Mechanically the car runs like a dream once warmed up and ready to roll. Although when cold the gearbox can be a bit glitchy, but this disappears quite quickly once it's warmed up; I usually let the car idle from start for a few minutes if its cold.

At the time of purchase on the 8th July 2019 the car required a new pulley bearing which I immediately had replaced, along with a comprehensive inspection carried out by a Mercedes Independent Specialist, DB Automotive, Winford, Bristol.

I also replaced the LCD display which was missing quite a few pixels, a common fault.

The car comes with Fully Stamped service History plus a file with some receipts. The Service book and booklets have suffered from water damage but the important details are still clear and legible.

As you'll see below I have invested in the car mechanically so it performs as it should.

Prior to my ownership the car was serviced in August 2017 - 128k (£163) plus there is an invoice on file dated March 2017 - 126k (£476. 00) for new disks and pads to the front , plus OSR & OSF suspension arms plus washer pump.

In summary, despite the cosmetic issues this would make a great rolling project car for somebody. Alternatively don't worry about the rust and go have a blast and enjoy driving it in sleeper car mode, but be careful it can be very addictive!

Feel free to ask any questions, I'm sure I've probably missed a few things out here.
