This car was completely restored in 2016 to include a full body rebuild with new heritage panels , all mechanicals are fully restored too making this car pristine in every respect .
Over £25, 000gbp of receipts in history file covering all aspects of the restauration has left me with a car which is the best i have ever seen or owned, some previous history is present along with previous ownership.
The car has been dry stored since and infrequently driven.
All bodywork was completed by the renowned Retro Refinishers in Cannock who completed the work to a very high standard. all panel fit and finish is undoubtedly better than the car was new out of the Austin factory back in 1969. Finished in its original colour of Island Blue with a Snowberry white roof i have strived to maintain its originality to include detail such as period Winguard courtesy light , resin steering wheel, Crackle Cream roof lining and so on .
Mechanically the car is perfect having around 400 miles driven since restauration, head has been adapted for Unleaded.
Non period upgrades are as follows:-
Suspension modified to Dry from Hydro elastic.
7. 5 inch disc brakes.
Discrete electronic ignition fitted.
Phos Bronze brake pipes.
Minilife alloy Wheels.
Non period heater fan flexible duct.
Stainless Steel exhaust system.
Non Lucas headlight sealed units.
Some door hinges are alloy not cast iron.
Aftermarket rev counter is fitted.

Yes it is a genuine MK2 Cooper with Cooper shown on the log book.
The rear seat bulkhead does have the spit hole.
The Speedo does have the Cooper yellow gear change markings.
The engine, head , transmission and Carburettors are correct and period with no upgrade or tuning.
Fuel tank is the original 25Ltr capacity.
Bad points :-
The rear seat vinyl is original and showing some slight wear with a small repaired tare.
Door scuff guards are aftermarket and don't fit very well.
Other than that the car presents very well and would make someone a fantastic investment or show car, it can be seen at any reasonable time.
