Here up for sale is my Mums Ford Escort Cabriolet 1. 8 Ghia.
My mum has owned this car for the past 12 years and befire this I owned it.
The car has always started and driven great. The car is mechanically perfect and with a genuine 75000 miles it's relatively low too.
The gearbox is absolutely perfect and silky smooth, the engine is smooth and has plenty of power with no flat spots. The clutch on the car is light and responsive and picks up where it should.
The interior of the car is all original and it has the original Cassette/ Radio for a little late 90s Nostalgia. The car has All electric windows and comfortable sports seats.
The car has the 1. 8 Engine with 130bhp which sounds quite punchy and is surprisingly good on fuel.
My mum dosent really use the car much now so it is up for grabs.
The car will need some paintwork and some bodywork sorting but it's all there. The car is solid and the small amount of corrosion on the outer sill is being sorted out before the sale.
The roof is completely watertight and has been treated every year with good quality roof treatment to keep it supple and waterproof.
The alloy wheels are genuine Ford original with good tyres all round. New battery around 6 months ago also. The brakes on the car were overhauled around a year ago and pull the car to a halt very well.
All the documents are in mums name with original Ford key and a spare with it.
All in all be sad to see the old girl go but someone will be able to bring this car back to former glory again.
