Ford Escort Mk2 1300L 1980 RHD 4Door
This has been imported from South Africa and registration has been applied for which will return on an age related plate and TAX and MOT exempt.
Bodywork/ Exterior
Car has obviously been recently resprayed but is nice and clean looking.
As usual will need a passenger side sill/ floor repair and wheel wells.
Bad points is some one has filled bottom of front/ rear doors, and the rear pillar vents.
Engine bay is solid throughout. Door shuts are solid, chassis rails front to back are solid too.
Overall the shell is pretty good compared to most and useable but obviously could do with some attention in the future.
Alley cat looking wheels are in good condition
Mechanics
1. 3 crossflow engine with manual gearbox. Car starts first time and drives okay but we have only tested around the yard. Brakes will need attention/ bleeding. As with all our imports/ classics we recommend a good go over before driving them on the road!
Interior
Interior is complete front and rear seats are in good condition, headlining all good, carpet is ok.
Our overall impression is that its a good car compared to most and is useable if not being picky but could do with improving.
Viewing is highly recommended and we will only sell unseen if you are happy with all the pictures and videos.
