The MGB was a huge seller in period and remains a very popular British classic to this day; a sporty two-seater with elegant looks. The Mk. II received various upgrades to improve reliability and comfort including synchromesh on all four gears as well as an alternator in place of the older style dynamo. The original 1800cc unit is more than enough to move this lightweight roadster along nicely.
This 1969 example finished in yellow with chrome bumpers, appears to be in excellent condition internally and externally. Both the engine bay and boot area are extremely clean for a British sports car of this age, as is the underside. The factory yellow paint is complimented by a high quality, black hard top; a soft top is also included in the sale. The black interior upholstery with red piping, is also very tidy. The V5C document suggests just five previous owners and the odometer indicates just under 48, 000 miles. To accompany the sale of this vehicle is a vast folder of history accumulated over its previous owners that includes everything from old MOT certificates and parts receipts to tax reminders and service schedules. There are also a number of spare parts including front subframe, rear axle, gearbox, springs and a stainless exhaust system.
