MG TD guida a destra, immatricolata per la prima volta nel 1951 in Svizzera, Canton Ticino.
La vettura è stata completamente restaurata: fondi di legno di frassino nuovi, legno interno delle porte rifatti con suo disegno, tappezzeria interna nuova, cappottino nuovo e vetri laterali rifatti.
Motore revisionato in ogni sua parte con alesaggio cilindri perché in Svizzera faceva delle gare di regolarità; carburatori trovati suoi originali perché al momento dell’acquisto montava un carburatore doppio corpo dell’Alfa Romeo.
Per la circolazione italiana sono state aggiunte frecce laterali posteriori e anteriori con lampadina più luce del porta lampada delle luci di posizione.
Modifica non originale è la sostituzione della pompa benzina inglese (SU) perché funzionavano malissimo.
Il motore da quando è stato rifatto ha percorso solo poche centinaia di miglia.
In fase di restauro la vettura è stata smontata completamente, portata a lamiera compreso telaio con sostituzione ammortizzatori, freni e rinnovo di tutta la meccanica. Restauro con ampia documentazione fotografica.
Il restauro è durato circa tre anni ed è stato terminato nel 2020.
Il proprietario attuale che ha effettuato il restauro ha mantenuto il motore ed i colori (bicolore) che ha trovato. Non è in possesso di un certificato di origine e quindi non è noto se sia matching numbers and colours.
La carrozzeria è splendida, gli interni e la capote sono ottimi e come nuovi.
La meccanica non necessita di lavori e funziona perfettamente.

The car has been completely restored: new ash wood bottoms, internal woodwork of the doors redone with his design, new internal upholstery, new coat and redone side windows.
Engine overhauled in all its parts with cylinder bore because it did regularity races in Switzerland; carburettors found to be originals because at the time of purchase it was fitted with a double body carburettor from Alfa Romeo.
For Italian circulation, rear and front side indicators have been added with a bulb plus light from the bulb holder of the position lights.
Non-original modification is the replacement of the English petrol pump (SU) because they worked very badly.
The engine has only run a few hundred miles since it was rebuilt.
During the restoration phase, the car was completely disassembled, brought to sheet metal including the chassis with replacement of shock absorbers, brakes and renewal of all the mechanics. Restoration with extensive photographic documentation.
The restoration took about three years and was completed in 2020.
The current owner who carried out the restoration kept the engine and the colors (two-tone) that he found. He does not have a certificate of origin and therefore it is not known whether it is matching numbers and colours.
The body is beautiful, the interior and the soft-top are very good and like new.
The mechanics do not need work and work perfectly.
